In myth and fantasy the invisibility cloak is a workaround for the limitations of the embodied self. It is equated with a sense of freedom, though it verges on disintegration and disappearance. Our desire to collapse into each other eventually turns outward. Shrouds imagines one ultimate expression of love as co-dissolution into the landscape.
